ETO Platform Drives 464% Agri-Export Surge, Eyes 5 New States in 2026
ETO boosts agri-exports by 464%, expands to 5 states

The ETO platform, operated by Truck Transit Parks Limited (TTP), has announced a dramatic surge in Nigeria's agricultural exports, crediting its digital system for facilitating a growth of over 464 per cent from 2021 to the present.

Massive Growth and Expansion Plans

This revelation was made by the Managing Director of TTP, Jama Onwubuariri, during a roundtable discussion with the Shipping Correspondents Association of Nigeria (SCAN) in Lagos. Onwubuariri confirmed the staggering export increase and unveiled ambitious plans for the platform's national expansion.

He stated that the ETO platform is set to launch operations in five additional Nigerian states by next year. "We are currently expanding to other states in Nigeria such as Cross-River, Abia, Kaduna, Bauchi, and Yobe states," Onwubuariri said. These locations are currently under discussion, with deployment planned for both traffic and infrastructure management solutions.

New Technologies to Streamline Port Operations

Looking ahead to 2026, the company is preparing to introduce a suite of new technologies designed to further smoothen cargo movement from the nation's seaports. The goal is to minimise human interference and eliminate costly delays.

"We are stepping up the system to ensure that new technologies are deployed," Onwubuariri explained. Key innovations in the pipeline include:

  • An Electronics Tagging System for better cargo tracking.
  • An e-column Interchange Transaction Log.
  • The YAD traffic management solution.

These technologies are aimed at ensuring the seamless movement of trucks, guaranteeing consistent cargo for transporters, and significantly enhancing the security of goods in transit.

Integration and Future Confidence

In a move to deepen its role in national trade facilitation, TTP is collaborating with relevant government agencies to integrate the ETO system into the proposed single window platform which the Federal Government intends to launch next year.

Addressing the impending expiration of the company's operating license, Onwubuariri expressed strong optimism about its renewal. His confidence is rooted in the significant impact the ETO platform has demonstrated in boosting agricultural exports and improving port logistics over the years.

With its proven record and clear roadmap for technological advancement and geographical expansion, the ETO platform is positioning itself as a critical backbone for Nigeria's non-oil export economy in the coming years.
