Ethiopian Airlines has officially confirmed the restart of its direct passenger flights between Addis Ababa and Atlanta, marking a significant restoration of a key transatlantic connection. The airline, in a recent statement, revealed that operations will recommence on May 21, 2026, following a temporary suspension of the route in February.

In comments regarding the service resumption, Mesfin Tasew, the Group Chief Executive Officer of Ethiopian Airlines, emphasized that this move further reestablishes a crucial link between Africa and the United States. The renewed service will reconnect Addis Ababa Bole International Airport (ADD) with Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport (ATL), offering customers increased flexibility and seamless access between Atlanta and Ethiopian Airlines' extensive network across Africa.
