In a tweet on May 5, 2026, the young man shared a screenshot of the payment credited to his bank account, simply captioning it: "MTN dividend received."

When asked to explain what a dividend means, Peter responded: "This is dividend payment for my MTN shares. Dividend is money paid to shareholders from profit realized from operations." Although he did not specify when he bought the shares or how many units he purchased, he confirmed a netizen's guess that he must have invested around N1.5 million. The screenshot revealed that MTN paid him a dividend of N27,000.
