Among the three roles, chaplains receive the highest compensation, with a minimum salary of £60,236. In Nigerian currency, this amount is equivalent to N109,888,173. The Royal Army Chaplains’ Department recruits both religious and non-religious personnel to serve as military chaplains. According to the UK Army official website, chaplains are professionally qualified officers who deliver pastoral care, provide or facilitate spiritual support, and offer moral guidance to all personnel and their families, regardless of faith, worldview, or status.
The starting annual salary for a chaplain during training is £60,236. After completing basic trade training, the minimum annual pay remains unchanged.
Legal Officers' Salary Structure
The UK Army Legal Services (ALS) Officers are barristers and solicitors qualified in England & Wales, Scotland, or Northern Ireland. They perform crucial legal tasks within the military. The starting annual salary for a legal officer is set at £26,334, which converts to N48,040,958 in Nigerian naira.
