LG Showcases Smart HVAC Innovations at Mega Clima Nigeria 2026
LG Unveils Smart HVAC at Mega Clima Nigeria 2026

LG Electronics has reinforced its leadership in climate control and energy-efficient cooling technologies with the unveiling of advanced HVAC solutions at Mega Clima Nigeria 2026, West Africa's largest international air conditioning and refrigeration exhibition. The three-day exhibition, held at the Landmark Centre in Lagos, brought together manufacturers, engineers, contractors, distributors and industry stakeholders from across the HVAC+R sector to explore emerging technologies shaping the future of climate control systems in Africa.

As one of the major exhibitors at the event, LG showcased a range of smart and scalable cooling solutions designed to meet the increasing demand for energy-efficient systems across residential, commercial and industrial spaces. Speaking during the exhibition, Business Development Manager, LG Electronics Nigeria, Ifeoluwa Babarinsa, said the company remained committed to introducing innovative technologies that align with evolving market demands and sustainability goals.

According to him, LG featured its advanced Multi V.5 and Multi VS systems, both developed to deliver high-performance cooling while reducing energy consumption. He explained that the Multi V.5 system was designed for industrial and large-scale commercial applications, while the Multi VS targets residential users seeking flexible and efficient climate solutions. Babarinsa noted that one of the major advantages of the systems is their scalability, with the capacity to connect up to 64 indoor units, allowing users to optimise cooling performance across multiple spaces and building configurations.

The exhibition also featured several indoor HVAC units compatible with the Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems, including the Round Cassette, Ceiling Concealed Type Units and Four-Way Cassette Units. Particular attention was given to the Round Cassette unit, which LG described as an innovative solution for spaces without conventional ceiling structures. The unit demonstrated enhanced airflow distribution and faster cooling capabilities during live product demonstrations.

“This year, we showcased our inverter product range alongside advanced HVAC solutions that reflect LG’s continued commitment to innovation, energy efficiency and smarter climate control technologies,” Babarinsa said. He added that one of the highlights of the exhibition was the company’s AI-powered VRF solution, the Multi V i, which represents LG’s next-generation intelligent cooling system being introduced into the Nigerian market.

“As the headquarters of LG Electronics West Africa, Nigeria remains a strategic hub for us, and we remain committed to expanding access to innovative solutions that meet the evolving needs of customers and businesses across the region,” he stated. Industry experts at the exhibition noted that the HVAC sector in West Africa is expanding rapidly due to urbanisation, infrastructure development and growing awareness around sustainable energy consumption.

Mega Clima Nigeria 2026 featured over 100 global brands, technical workshops and networking sessions, creating a platform for industry players to exchange ideas and explore opportunities for collaboration within the sector. LG said its participation reflects the company's broader commitment to promoting energy-efficient technologies, smart infrastructure and sustainable living solutions across Africa. The company added that beyond product innovation, it remains focused on supporting long-term industry growth through stakeholder engagement, technical partnerships and knowledge-sharing initiatives aimed at advancing the HVAC sector in the region.
