Power Supply Improved Across Nigeria in Last Four Weeks

The Minister of Power, Joseph Tegbe, has stated that power supply has improved across Nigeria over the past four weeks. He made this disclosure to State House correspondents following his swearing-in ceremony as a substantive Minister by President Tinubu on Monday, June 8.

Minister's Statement on Power Improvement

According to the Minister, "Nigerians have been giving me feedbacks. In the last four weeks after my confirmation, power supply has improved across Nigeria, and this is due to the push by the President and the power he has put behind me, as well as the commitment of our people in the Ministry of Power and all other agencies."

Engagement with Key Stakeholders

Tegbe further explained that over the past four weeks, he has engaged various key stakeholders in the sector, including the Transmission Company of Nigeria (TCN), the Ministry of Power, the Nigerian Electricity Regulatory Commission (NERC), and the Rural Electrification Agency (REA). He noted that all parties have given their commitment, which has contributed to the visible improvement in power supply.
