Transcorp Energy and Renewvia Forge Partnership to Tackle Nigeria's Renewable Energy Shortfall
In a significant move to combat Africa's persistent power deficit, Transcorp Energy Limited and Renewvia Solar Nigeria Limited have officially signed a Memorandum of Understanding. This strategic alliance is set to jointly develop renewable energy projects across Nigeria, with ambitious plans to expand operations continent-wide in the longer term.
Targeting Diverse Consumer Segments with Hybrid Solutions
The partnership will focus on delivering energy to commercial, industrial, and residential consumers, as well as underserved communities. This will be achieved through a combination of off-grid and grid-connected energy solutions, ensuring reliable electricity access across various economic segments.
Beyond mere electricity provision, the collaboration will explore the aggregation and monetisation of Renewable Energy Credits generated from these projects. This adds a commercial dimension to the clean energy rollout, potentially enhancing profitability and sustainability.
