Petrol prices have dropped at several filling stations across Nigeria following a reduction in the gantry price by Dangote Petroleum Refinery. The refinery cut its ex-depot price by N25, from N1,275 to N1,250 per litre, triggering adjustments in the downstream sector.
New Pump Prices in Lagos
In the Igando area of Lagos, pump prices now range between N1,272 and N1,295 per litre, depending on stock and logistics costs. Some stations adjusted immediately, while others continue to sell at higher rates due to old stock purchased before the price cut.
- Toluwalase Petroleum: N1,272 per litre
- MRS Oil Nigeria Plc: N1,279 per litre
- Ardova Plc: N1,280 per litre
- NNPC Retail: N1,295 per litre
Prices Outside Lagos
In Abeokuta, Ogun State, an NNPC retail station sells petrol at N1,295 per litre. Other states are also seeing gradual price reductions, though not as pronounced as in Lagos.

Aviation Fuel Price Cut
In a related development, Dangote Refinery also reduced the ex-depot price of Jet A1 aviation fuel by N100 per litre, from N1,650 to N1,550 per litre. This move is expected to ease operational costs for airlines.
The price adjustments reflect ongoing changes in Nigeria's downstream petroleum market, with depot owners and retailers responding to refinery price cuts. Consumers are advised to monitor prices as stations update their rates.
