Oyedele Names Top 20 Creators for Tax Reform Training
Top 20 Creators Picked for Tax Reform Training

The Chairman of the Presidential Committee on Fiscal Policy and Tax Reforms, Taiwo Oyedele, has officially selected the top twenty content creators who will receive specialised training on Nigeria's new tax laws.

Selected Creators to Bridge Information Gap

In an announcement made on his official X account on Friday, Oyedele confirmed that the shortlisted creators will attend a special training session. The goal is to equip them with accurate knowledge of the recent fiscal reforms so they can share clearer, balanced, and insightful information with their vast audiences across social media platforms.

Oyedele expressed his deep appreciation to the Nigerian public for their active participation in the nomination process. The initiative, tagged "Influencing for Good," called for nominations of creators already educating people on tax reforms or those deemed capable of doing so.

The committee received a staggering 8,591 nominations for more than 200 creators before the window closed on 9 November 2025. From this pool, the committee meticulously selected the final twenty based on their combined followership across major platforms.

Next Steps and Public Engagement

Oyedele urged the public to engage with the selected creators. "If your favourite creator is on the list, tag or mention them and ask them to confirm their interest by completing this form," he wrote, sharing a link to an acceptance form.

The deadline for the chosen creators to confirm their participation is Monday, 8 December 2025. Furthermore, Oyedele encouraged Nigerians to use the comments section on his post to suggest specific areas of interest and key issues they would like the training programme to focus on.

This innovative move aims to leverage the influence of popular digital creators to demystify the complex tax reforms for the average Nigerian. The training is expected to take place in the coming weeks.

The backdrop to this initiative is the signing of four major tax reform bills into law by President Bola Tinubu in June. These foundational bills include the Nigeria Tax Bill, the Nigeria Tax Administration Bill, the Nigeria Revenue Service (Establishment) Bill, and the Joint Revenue Board (Establishment) Bill.
