An African lady residing in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) has shared her effective strategy for applying for jobs in 2026, highlighting two essential apps that have helped her secure work opportunities. In a viral TikTok video, she explained her step-by-step process, which has garnered attention and praise from viewers seeking employment guidance.
Job Application Method Using Technology
Identified as @lifewithlenora on TikTok, the lady revealed that she relies on ChatGPT and the Chrome browser to streamline her job applications. She begins by using ChatGPT to identify the top 50 companies relevant to her career field. After compiling the list, she copies each company's name and searches for it on Chrome to access the official careers page. This method ensures she applies directly through company websites rather than third-party platforms.
She emphasized that her CV should be limited to one page to make it easy for employers to review. Her video caption read: “How I apply for jobs in the UAE. Share with someone who needs this.”
Public Reactions and Additional Tips
Many viewers appreciated her advice and left comments with further questions. One user, Dr. Tesleem, suggested that ChatGPT can also be prompted to search for vacancies and submit CVs automatically. Another commenter, arjen robben, noted that despite trying the method for four months in hospitality and sales, they had not yet succeeded. Kambagal expressed gratitude, saying, “I think I have been using wrong format while applying for job, that’s why I don’t get job. Thank you sister.”
Habibi Wear added a tip: “Just copy the name of the company... go to your web browser and type careers@thecompanyname or recruitment@thecompanyname and you will see all the vacancies.” Others sought advice on tailoring CVs for the UAE market, such as including remote work experience and addressing the lack of local experience.
The video has sparked a broader conversation about job-hunting strategies in the UAE, with many users sharing their own experiences and seeking further guidance from the creator.
