MFM GMOV Holds 2026 Leaders Retreat, Urges Men to Uphold Godly Character
MFM GMOV 2026 Leaders Retreat Focuses on Godly Character

The Mountain of Fire and Miracles Ministries (MFM) God's Men of Valour (GMOV) held its 2026 Leaders Retreat with the theme "Power for Fresh Glory" for spiritual renewal, growth, and development. The event took place at MFM International Headquarters, Grace Hall, drawing men leaders and pastors from various MFM regions who gathered both on-site and online worldwide to deepen their spiritual commitment and strengthen their leadership roles.

From the opening session, it was evident that the retreat was more than a meeting; it was a call to transformation and effective leadership. Throughout the retreat, participants engaged in intense prayer sessions, worship, and insightful teachings. The program featured impactful, life-changing workshops focused on practical leadership skills, family responsibility, spiritual growth, and financial independence, with sessions addressing real-life challenges faced by men in leadership and in all spheres of life.

Welcome Exhortation and Vision

In his welcome exhortation, the GMOV Global Chairman, Pastor Kunle Adesanya, thanked the General Overseer of MFM Worldwide, Dr. Daniel Kolawole Olukoya, and his wife, Dr. Folashade Elizabeth Olukoya, for "constantly improving, promoting, and empowering men in and outside the ministry." Adesanya stated that Dr. Olukoya's passion as International President of GMOV "is to raise men with godly character that will be a blessing to all." He noted that the General Overseer has empowered GMOV and established "different biblical teachings and deliverance prayers to ensure that men are liberated to fulfill their God-given purposes and destinies, as well as attain leadership roles God has ordained for them."

Adesanya revealed that MFM teaches that men have responsibility as spiritual heads in families and leaders in ministry units. He said God's Men of Valour was birthed to bring men back to God, stressing that "God has used the group through different spiritual and empowerment programs to change and transform lives of men by making them discover themselves, bringing them closer to God, and encouraging them to become men of integrity, making significant and beneficial impacts in all facets of life, in families and societies at large." He explained that GMOV's vision is for men to discover themselves, recover their lost glory, and be repositioned to fulfill their divine destiny, citing Ezekiel 36:26. The mission, he added, "seeks to see Christian men financially and economically buoyant, putting them at the center of the economy."

Teaching on Failed Male Leaders

In his teaching titled "Problem of Failed Male Leaders," Dr. Olukoya said men fail in leadership when they "allow bad influences to shape their decisions, make decisions without understanding, and ignore wise advice." He emphasized that godly character with integrity, maintaining strong moral values, the ability to take responsibility for actions, effective listening, discipline, honesty, and selflessness are the "hallmark for effective purposeful leadership."

Godly Man vs. Worldly Man

Lecturing on the theme "Godly Man and Worldly Man," Pastor Clement Umoru, Senior Regional Overseer/Mega Regional Overseer of MFM Tent Maker Pastoral Ministry, called on men to constantly reflect God's character and image, with inward devotion to God and outward display of godliness. He said, "The Bible is the handbook for any man that desires to be a godly man. Every godly man must reflect God's character, display and accept the righteousness of Jesus Christ, and obey the word of God. He is devoted to his own spiritual growth, prioritizes his activities, communicates responsibly, has deep respect for God, walks in the way of the Lord, and fears the Lord. A godly man is a servant of God, committed to serving God, his family, and ministry."

Empowered to Manifest New Dimension of Glory

Speaking on "Empowered to Manifest New Dimension of Glory," Dr. Moses Adebowale, Senior Regional Overseer/Mega Regional Overseer in charge of MFM Lekki Axis, emphasized the need for personal concentration, separation to God, and active faith to manifest the new dimension of glory. He stressed the need for the Holy Spirit to navigate life and highlighted wisdom, which he described as knowing what it requires to achieve one's desires.

Panel Discussion and Impartation

The high point of the retreat, apart from the Impartation prayers by the General Overseer, was a panel discussion led by seasoned professionals in different fields who are also pastors in the ministry. Panelists included Pharmacist Johnson Olusayo Olusetire, Pastor Gboyega Fatimileyin, Pastor Gbolahan Adeniyi, Pastor Anthony Nwaeze, Dr. David Robert, Pastor Ayo Olatunji, and Pastor Oluwaseyi Samson, anchored by Pastor Bunmi Omomo. The panel discussion provided spiritual insight with practical, real-life applications, building leadership confidence, inspiring accountability and growth, and strengthening unity.

The retreat, which drew GMOV leaders, workers, and members from across the world, brought a renewed sense of purpose among participants, who left with a stronger resolve to lead with wisdom, humility, and courage. The Men Leaders Retreat not only equipped participants for greater service but also ignited a passion to make a lasting impact in their spheres of influence. Participants attested that the MFM Men Leaders Retreat proved to be a remarkable gathering—one that will continue to inspire and shape leaders for years to come.
