The Lagos State Common Entrance Screening Test for 2026 is scheduled to commence on Friday, August 21, 2026, at the Public Service Staff Development Centre (PSSDC) in Magodo, Lagos. The examination, administered by the Lagos State Examinations Board, will run daily from 8 a.m. until Monday, August 24, 2026.
Single Venue and Daily Schedule
Unlike previous years where the test was held at multiple centres, this year's screening has been consolidated to one location: the Public Service Staff Development Centre (PSSDC), Magodo, Lagos. The Lagos State Examinations Board confirmed that the examination will begin at 8 a.m. each day, and candidates are expected to report to the centre on their scheduled examination dates.
The Board emphasized that candidates should not wait until the last minute before leaving for the centre. According to the Board, "All candidates are strongly advised to take note of the examination dates, time and venue, and make adequate arrangements to arrive at the centre early."
Examination Slips and Preparation
Candidates who completed their registration can now access the examination portal to print their examination slips. The Board has advised candidates to check the information on their slips before the examination and take the printed documents to the centre. Parents and guardians are also urged to confirm the examination details with their children ahead of the test, particularly the assigned date and time.
The Board's Registrar, Adebayo Orunsolu, stressed the importance of compliance with the examination guidelines. He stated that adherence to the rules would help the exercise run smoothly and wished candidates a "successful and hitch-free Common Entrance Screening Test" on behalf of the Board.
Conduct and Logistics
The examination authority reminded candidates that they are expected to maintain proper conduct throughout the screening exercise and follow the rules guiding the test. The official Lagos State Examinations Board portal also provides access to its Screening Test/Model College service for additional information.
With the test starting on Friday, candidates and their parents should make arrangements to arrive at PSSDC, Magodo, early to avoid last-minute delays. The Board has advised candidates to prepare in advance, print their examination slips, and verify the details before their scheduled examination days.
