Lagos 2026 Model Colleges Entrance Exam Registration Opens

The Lagos State Government has officially opened registration for the 2026 entrance screening test into its Model Colleges and upgraded junior secondary schools with boarding facilities. The announcement was made on Thursday, May 7, via the official X handle of the state government. The registration exercise is being managed by the Lagos State Examinations Board under the Ministry of Basic and Secondary Education.

Registration Deadline and Fees

The registration period will close on May 15, 2026. Parents, guardians, and school owners are urged to complete the online process before the deadline. Applicants are required to pay a registration fee of N10,000. Only pupils currently in Primary Six from both public and private schools are eligible to participate.

Examination Format and Dates

The examination will be conducted using the Computer-Based Test (CBT) format. It is scheduled to take place between Thursday, June 4, and Saturday, June 6, at approved centres across Lagos State. Candidates who are of Lagos State origin must upload a valid Lagos State Indigeneship Certificate during registration.

The government advised parents and school administrators to follow the registration guidelines carefully to avoid errors. The registration is done through the Lagos State Examinations Board portal. The state emphasized that only eligible Primary Six pupils should apply.
