A young Nigerian man, Samuel Akinola, has shared his inspiring story of earning multiple awards and certificates while studying medicine at Babcock University. He took to social media to display his achievements and narrate the efforts behind them.
Medical Student's Journey to Recognition
On his LinkedIn page, Samuel Akinola revealed that after completing his First MB examination, he decided to become more involved in activities outside academics. Despite the challenging Path/Pharm phase of medical school, known for its heavy workload, he volunteered on various committees and sought opportunities to contribute to his department and chapel.
In his post, he wrote: "By God's grace, I became more active. I volunteered to serve on various committees and sought opportunities to contribute to both my department and my chapel. To be honest, I still do not know how I ended up receiving nine certificates, a plaque, and a medal within a single tenure. All I can say is that it is a testimony to God's grace and mercy."
He expressed gratitude to the Babcock University Association of Medical Students (BUAMS) for the opportunity to serve. He concluded: "At the end of it all, it seems that this Path/Pharm phase became a path to 'pharming' certificates. To God be all the glory."
