LASU Graduate Who Wrote JAMB Twice Bags 2:1, Shares Dad's Reaction

A Lagos State University (LASU) Computer Science graduate, known on X as @mayomadee7, has gone viral after sharing the chat he had with his father following his graduation. The graduate, who wrote the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) twice before gaining admission, revealed he finished with a second-class upper division and a 4.37 CGPA.

A Journey Marked by Determination and Skill Acquisition

In a series of tweets on X, @mayomadee7 detailed his educational journey, which began after he completed secondary school in 2020. He explained that he did not take JAMB that year because he wanted to learn a skill and was not ready for university. He started learning graphic design in 2020 but stopped months later due to the lack of a laptop.

In 2022, despite still not having a laptop, he decided to take matters into his own hands and began learning frontend development on his mobile phone. That same year, he wrote his second JAMB and was admitted into LASU to study computer science, having missed the cut-off mark the previous year.
