NASFAT Celebrates Fountain University's 15th Convocation & Academic Excellence
NASFAT Applauds Fountain University at 15th Convocation

The Nasrul-Lahi-L-Fatih Society (NASFAT) has extended hearty commendations to Fountain University, Osogbo, during the institution's landmark 15th convocation ceremony. The event, which highlighted the university's consistent academic standards and ethical grounding, was held at the university auditorium and drew a prestigious gathering of dignitaries.

Eminent Personalities Grace the Occasion

The convocation attracted a high-profile audience from across Nigeria's social and political spectrum. His Royal Majesty, Oba Jimoh Oyetunji Olanipekun, Larooye II, the Ataoja of Osogbo, led a delegation of royal fathers. The Osun State Government was represented by the Secretary to the State Government, Alhaji Teslim Igbalaye, who stood in for Governor Ademola Adeleke.

Other distinguished guests included the Deputy Governor of Ogun State, Mrs. Noimot Salako-Oyedele; the Registrar of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), Prof. Is-haq Olanrewaju Oloyede; and the Agbaoye of Ibadanland, Chief Kola Karim.

Leadership and Achievements Recognized

The university's leadership cadre received significant praise for their stewardship. The commendations were spearheaded by the NASFAT Board of Trustees under Alhaji Abdul-Lateef Wale Olasupo, the National Council of Elders led by Alhaji Yunus Olalekan Saliu, and the National Women Affairs Secretary, Alhaja Ganiyat Omowunmi Babalola.

They specifically lauded the Chancellor, Vice Admiral Jubrila Ayinla (rtd); the Pro-Chancellor, Dr. Awa Ibraheem, FCA; the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Olayinka Ramota Karim; and the entire management team.

Fountain University: A Model Institution

In his post-event remarks, the President of NASFAT, Alhaji Ayodeji AbdulWahid AbdulRauf, described Fountain University as a exemplary faith-based institution. He noted its evolution into a centre for producing professionals who combine innovative drive with a strong moral compass for societal development.

He further applauded the visionary leadership of the Prof. Olayinka Ramota Karim-led management for its role in nurturing the next generation of global leaders across various fields.

The society also gave special recognition to outstanding graduates. These included the overall best graduating student, Ibrahim Maryam, and the pioneer Doctor of Philosophy degree holder from the Department of Microbiology, Dr. Owolabi Kehinde Temitope.

Concluding the event, the Chief Missioner of NASFAT, Imam Maroofdeen AbdulAzeez Onike, offered prayers for the university's continued growth, excellence, and divine guidance in its future endeavours.
