Mr. Confidence recounted a frightening incident that occurred while traveling within Nigeria. He narrowly escaped a robbery attack along a road in Ibadan, which made him reflect on the dangers of insecurity. This experience highlighted the potential financial burdens that could arise from ransom demands, further solidifying his preference for a secure environment.

"He told me kidnappers had snatched his children twice. The first time, he paid 50 million Naira. The second time, he paid over 30 million Naira," Mr. Confidence recalled. The wealthy individual realized he or his wife might be the next target, prompting his decision to leave Nigeria to secure his family's future. He clarified that his move to Canada was not for financial reasons but for peace and safety.
