In a congratulatory statement signed by the Secretary of the Oyo NES, Dr. Victoria Foye, the association described Aminu's elevation as well-deserved and a recognition of his contributions to the field of economics, research, teaching, and public policy development in Nigeria. The association noted that the new professor had distinguished himself over the years through impactful academic research, mentorship, and professional service within and outside the university community.
According to the statement, Aminu's promotion would further strengthen intellectual contributions to economic policy discussions and development planning in the country. “Aminu has consistently demonstrated academic excellence, commitment to scholarship, and dedication to the advancement of economic knowledge and public policy. His elevation to the rank of professor is a source of pride to the society and the academic community at large,” the statement read.
