The GoodFellas International Club (GFI) of Nibo has launched an ambitious plan to construct a modern Information and Communication Technology (ICT) and Innovative Skills Development Centre. This major community project was revealed during the club's annual Charity Ball and Gala Night.
A Night of Philanthropy and Vision
The unveiling took place on December 29, 2025, at the Trigpoint Hotel in Nibo, located within the Awka South Local Government Area of Anambra State. The event served as a fundraising platform and brought together club members, prominent community figures, and special guests united by a common goal of youth development.
In his address, the President of GoodFellas International Club Nibo, Chief (Dr) Uche Nnama (KSP), stated that the proposed centre is a core part of the organisation's youth development programme. He emphasised its role in driving the socio-cultural and economic progress of Nibo.
"The dreams and potential of our youth rest upon the shoulders of all of us in this room," Nnama told attendees. "Tonight, we gather not just as individuals, but as a family bound by love for our community and a shared hope for the future of our youth."
Building a Legacy for the Digital Age
The centre is designed to be a transformative hub, providing young people with critical digital literacy, innovative skills training, and access to global knowledge. Chief Nnama highlighted that the initiative aims to equip youth to thrive in today's digital economy, benefiting not only Nibo but the wider South-East region and Nigeria as a whole.
"This project is far more than bricks and mortar; it is the legacy that the community will leave for generations to come," he added. A passionate appeal for support was made to well-meaning Nigerians, governments, corporate bodies, and Anambra indigenes both at home and abroad.
