Cadbury Hot Chocolate Celebrates African Storytelling at AMVCA

Cadbury Hot Chocolate joined forces with the Africa Magic Viewers' Choice Awards (AMVCA) for its 12th edition, reaffirming its dedication to celebrating African storytelling, culture, and the creative talents shaping the continent's film industry. The partnership, announced in May 2026, highlighted the brand's commitment to supporting platforms that spotlight African creativity.

Partnership Highlights

Widely recognized as Africa's premier night in film and fashion, the AMVCA gathered filmmakers, actors, digital creators, industry executives, and entertainment enthusiasts from across the continent for a week-long celebration of storytelling and cinematic excellence. Cadbury Hot Chocolate maintained a strong presence throughout AMVCA week, from the Young Filmmakers Day to the main award ceremony at Eko Hotel and Suites in Lagos.

As part of the collaboration, Cadbury sponsored two award categories: Best Indigenous Language Film (East Africa) and Best Editing. These categories reflect the brand's focus on authentic storytelling and technical creativity. The Best Indigenous Language Film award was won by Addis Fikir for Leul Shoaferaw, while the Best Editing award went to Daniel Anyiam for To Kill a Monkey.
