During an appearance on the Unpack Podcast hosted by NAY, Chike stated that his preference stems from the belief that many younger women struggle with effective communication. He noted that women who can communicate well are often slightly advanced in age. "Most can't communicate properly. The time you start finding a woman who can communicate, they are slightly advanced in age. Not a girl of 23 years. Imagine I'm running around with some 23-year-old, what's she going to handle? What's she going to understand? She just wants to take pictures and be on Instagram and tell everybody that she's dating you," the singer said.
Peace and Stability with Older Women
Chike further explained that at a certain stage in life, many men seek peace and stability, which older women are more likely to provide. "The past two relationships I have been in, they have been older than me. There is no small girl that can say I am dating her," he added. However, he made an exception for younger women who are career-oriented and dedicated. "The only younger women I have an exception for are career women who I know are dedicated, they are trying to do something. Not the ones that are not doing anything," he clarified.
