Veteran broadcaster and media personality Frank Edoho has publicly addressed his ongoing divorce proceedings, describing his current life stage as a dignified path toward emotional peace. In a series of statements shared via social media, the veteran presenter revealed that while the news may be fresh to the public, he has been navigating this transition privately for nearly two years.
He wrote, "Over the past few days, I've received an outpouring of kind messages, prayers, concern, and goodwill regarding my separation and ongoing divorce proceedings. I truly appreciate the empathy. While I understand that the public is only just becoming aware of this chapter, I have lived through it privately for quite some time now (almost 2 years) and have since made peace with it emotionally."
Edoho emphasized that he is currently focused and at peace. He acknowledged the outpouring of kind messages, prayers, and goodwill from fans who were only just becoming aware of the marital breakdown. "Life unfolds in different seasons, and sometimes, moving forward quietly is the most dignified path one can take. I am well. Focused. At peace. And deeply grateful for the love, respect, and support so many of you continue to show me," he noted.
Career Highlights
Edoho became a household favorite as the host of the iconic game show Who Wants to Be a Millionaire? (WWTBAM). His tenure on the show, which began in 2004, defined an era of family entertainment. With a commanding vocal presence and a sharp, intellectual wit, he earned the nickname "The King of Suspense." His ability to build tension during the hot seat segments made him one of the most respected broadcasters in the country.
Beyond the game show, Edoho has enjoyed an amazing career as a voice-over artist and a high-profile event compere. After the show took a break in 2017, public demand for his return was so strong that he was brought back to host the revived series in 2022.
Marital History
Despite his immense professional success, Edoho's marital life has faced significant public criticism over the years. His first marriage was to Katherine Obiang, a well-known broadcaster and actress. The union lasted seven years and produced three children. However, the relationship ended in a highly publicized separation in 2011. The breakdown of that marriage was faced with controversy and allegations, though Edoho has frequently maintained that the split was ultimately a result of incompatibility.
Following his first divorce, Edoho found companionship with Sandra Onyenucheya. The couple married and remained together for over a decade, during which time they welcomed two children. This brought Edoho's total number of children to five. Throughout this second marriage, the couple appeared to maintain a stable and supportive partnership, making the recent news of their separation a point of significant public interest.
