Reality television star Grace Lilly, known for appearing on the show Southern Hospitality, found herself in legal trouble after a late-night encounter with police in Charleston, South Carolina, USA.
The Traffic Stop That Led to Arrest
According to official reports obtained by media outlet TMZ, the incident began when law enforcement officers pulled Lilly over. The reason for the traffic stop was an alleged failure to use her signal while changing lanes. This routine stop took a serious turn when officers discovered an active warrant for Lilly's arrest. This discovery immediately led to her being detained and handcuffed at the scene.
Discovery of the 'Happy Pills'
As she was being taken into custody, Lilly asked if she could bring her personal purse with her to the detention centre. Officers agreed but conducted a search of the bag. Inside, they found a container with a label that read "Happy Pills". The container held 12 white circular pills marked with a "P" and half of a blue oblong pill.
When questioned about the contents, Lilly reportedly told the police that the blue pill was Xanax and the white ones were birth control medication. She claimed to have a prescription for the Xanax but was unable to provide any proof or documentation at the time of her arrest. The pills were seized as evidence and will be tested to confirm their exact nature and to see if any drug laws were broken.
Charges and Legal Proceedings
Grace Lilly was officially processed at the Al Cannon Detention Center. The charge listed for her booking was second-degree harassment, which was connected to the outstanding warrant that officers found during the traffic stop. The arrest occurred, and the report was filed, on December 30, 2025.
While the immediate charge relates to the warrant, the discovery of the pills opens a separate line of investigation. Authorities are now waiting for lab results from the seized medication. Further legal actions are expected as the police continue their probe into the matter.
