Offset Compares Himself to Energizer Bunny After Being Shot
Offset: Energizer Bunny After Shooting

American rapper Offset has spoken publicly for the first time after being shot earlier this month. He revealed that he has already returned to performing and normal life following the incident.

The artist made the remarks during an appearance on the Creators Inc. Podcast with Andy Bachman. He discussed the shooting, which reportedly occurred outside a casino in Florida. Offset said he sustained a gunshot wound to the hip.

Despite the seriousness of the incident, the rapper downplayed its impact. He explained that he quickly resumed work, including performing at a concert shortly after the shooting. He compared himself to the Energizer Bunny, telling host Andy Bachman that he does not have “time to be slowing down.”

“Gotta keep pushing, like the Energizer Bunny, man. Keep this shit pushing. We don’t got time to be slowing down,” he said.

“But we here, man. I’m pushing. At the end of the day, the grind don’t stop. I don’t want nobody to feel sorry for me, or no shit like that. People get shot every day, bro,” he added.

During the interview, which took place in Los Angeles, Offset appeared connected to an IV drip. This suggested he was still undergoing recovery at the time of filming, which is believed to have occurred about a week after the incident.

Reflecting on the experience, he indicated that he viewed it as part of a broader reality. He said that such incidents happen frequently and that life continues regardless.
