Ogogo's daughter thanks Senator Yayi for support after father's death

Kira Taiwo, daughter of the late Nigerian actor Taiwo Hassan, popularly known as Ogogo, has publicly expressed her gratitude to Senator Solomon Olamilekan Adeola Yayi for his unwavering support during her father's illness and treatment. In a heartfelt letter shared on social media, Kira acknowledged the senator's assistance and kindness, which she said gave the family hope and strength during one of the most difficult periods of their lives.

Senator Yayi's Support During Ogogo's Illness

In the letter, Kira, speaking on behalf of the Hassan family, detailed how Senator Yayi stood by them from the very beginning of the actor's health struggles. She wrote, “From the very beginning of his difficult journey, you stood by him and by our family.” The family faced uncertainty and fear while seeking the best possible treatment for their father, and the senator's intervention provided them with much-needed hope and strength.

Kira emphasised that Senator Yayi did not merely offer financial or logistical assistance but showed genuine concern for her father's well-being. She noted that he followed the treatment journey closely and continued to support the family throughout the ordeal. “You did not simply offer assistance; you genuinely stood with him,” she wrote, highlighting the senator's personal involvement and care.

Family's Gratitude Despite Loss

Despite the family's efforts, medical care, prayers, and the support of well-wishers, their beloved father could not be saved. However, Kira said it was important for the family to recognise those who stood by Ogogo when he needed support the most. She wrote, “Senator, you were one of those people. Thank you for standing by Alhaji Chief Taiwo Al-Hassan Babatunde. Thank you for standing by our family.”

Kira also offered prayers for Senator Yayi, asking Almighty Allah to grant him continued good health, long life, wisdom, and success. She expressed hope that his kindness would be rewarded as Sadagah, an act of charity in Islamic tradition. The letter concluded with a prayer for her late father, asking Allah to grant him Al-Jannatul Firdaus, the highest level of paradise, and to give the family strength to bear his loss.

Final Words of Thanks

Kira ended the emotional letter with a message of enduring gratitude: “Thank you, Senator, for standing by our father. Thank you for standing by us. We will never forget your kindness.” The letter was shared on Instagram by user Haleemah, under the handle @lima_ogogo, and has since drawn attention from fans and colleagues of the late actor.

Taiwo Hassan, a veteran of the Nigerian film industry, was widely respected for his contributions to Yoruba cinema. His death has prompted an outpouring of tributes from colleagues and fans, with Senator Yayi's support being highlighted as a notable example of solidarity during the actor's final days.
