Omowunmi Aloba, the wife of the late Nigerian singer Mohbad, has addressed the ongoing controversy surrounding the DNA test and her relationship with her father-in-law. In a recent interview, she disclosed that she has never opposed the DNA test, contrary to speculation.
Close Relationship Turned Sour
Omowunmi revealed that she and Mohbad’s father were once very close. However, their relationship deteriorated after the birth of her son, Liam. The fallout, she explained, stemmed from family disagreements over the child’s naming ceremony and issues related to Mohbad reconciling with his mother.

Following Mohbad’s death, Omowunmi claimed that conversations with her father-in-law shifted to the late singer’s properties and royalties. She alleged that the father-in-law wants the DNA result to come out negative so that he can gain control of the royalties.
