Apostle Chibuzor Gift Chinyere, the general overseer of Omega Power Ministries (OPM), has broken his silence regarding reports that the government nullified the marriage of his adopted son, Elijah 'Aboy' Chibuzor. The cleric described the reports as fake news and urged the public to disregard them, calling them a fragment of the imagination of enemies of progress.
Heartwarming Update on Aboy and Wife
In a recent Facebook post on May 8, 2026, Chibuzor shared a positive update about Aboy and his wife, Blessing Chibuzor. He revealed that the couple had visited the immigration office to obtain their international passports ahead of a planned holiday in Canada, fulfilling one of the marriage promises he had made. The pastor posted pictures of himself accompanying the couple to the immigration office.
Chibuzor stated that his children on OPM university scholarships in Canada would receive Aboy and his wife at the airport and take care of them during their stay. He emphasized that the holiday is funded by tithes and offerings from OPM Church.
Addressing the Nullification Report
Addressing the marriage nullification rumors, Chibuzor wrote: 'Please ignore any fake news of government nullification of their marriage. THEIR MARRIAGE IS INTACT. It is just a fragment of imagination of ENEMIES OF PROGRESS.' He reminded the public that Blessing is on a lifetime monthly salary, with her only job being to care for Aboy and bear children. He added that if Aboy is alive in 10 years, she will receive an additional N20 million cash reward.
