Singer Role Model has shared his unconventional hopes for fatherhood, expressing a desire to be a single father to a baby girl and raise her entirely on his own. The 29-year-old artist, whose real name is Tucker Pillsbury, made the revelation during an appearance on the July 16 episode of Therapuss with host Jake Shane.
Single Fatherhood Vision
“My dream has always been to be a single father, and to have a daughter,” Role Model told Shane. “And to raise a daughter by myself would be really fun. Her name’s Winnie.” The “High Hopes 3000” singer elaborated on his vision, which diverges from the traditional nuclear family model of two parents raising a child together. He is open to using a surrogate to achieve his goal. “I want a daughter that's ideally mine,” he added, “and then I thank whoever had it for me.”
Role Model acknowledged the potential challenges of his plan, stating that he wouldn’t want to be a “scumbag” as a dad. He has considered whether his choices “would be destructive for the kid.” Expanding on his fatherhood aspirations, he explained, “I just want to raise a child by myself because then you can kind of just, like, mold them into your best friend.”
Upcoming Album and Relationship
For now, the “Scumbag” singer has more pressing matters to attend to. He is preparing to release his latest album, Chuck Timely & The Hourglass, on August 7. Additionally, Role Model has been growing his relationship with actress Dakota Johnson, whom he was first romantically linked to in December 2024. While the couple has kept their romance largely private—neither has publicly commented on their connection—they have not been shy about showing it off in public.
