VDM Reacts to Tonto Dikeh's Born Again Video, Pleads for Lawsuit Withdrawal
VDM Asks Born Again Tonto Dikeh to Drop Court Case

Social media activist Martins Vincent Otse, widely known as VeryDarkMan or VDM, has publicly reacted to Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh's recent spiritual transformation, making a direct appeal concerning their ongoing legal battle.

VDM's Surprising Plea to the 'Prophetess'

The activist expressed astonishment in a video message directed at Tonto Dikeh, who declared herself 'born again' a few weeks prior. VDM referenced the actress's decision to remove her Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL) as a sign of her new path, stating, "God don call her." He began addressing her with new titles like 'Prophetess' and 'Mummy,' showering her with prayers and well-wishes.

However, the core of his message was a specific request. VDM, who was scheduled to appear in court the following day, appealed to the actress's newfound faith. He reminded her that the Bible preaches forgiveness and urged her to withdraw the defamation lawsuit she filed against him last year. The case was initiated by Tonto Dikeh, fellow actress Iyabo Ojo, and music producer Samklef after VDM made comments about a WhatsApp group they were involved in.

A Theatrical Appeal with Bible and Tongues

In a dramatic turn, VDM opened a Bible during his video to the book of Matthew, chapter 7, verse 7. He prayed that God would touch the actress's heart to grant him forgiveness. In an imitation of Tonto Dikeh's own viral prayer video, the activist even attempted to speak in tongues, blending his plea with a performance that captured his followers' attention.

The video, shared on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, quickly sparked a wave of reactions online. Fans and observers were divided in their responses to VDM's unconventional approach.

Mixed Reactions from Social Media Users

The public response to VDM's video plea was swift and varied, highlighting the polarizing nature of the online drama.

  • One user, @tperrony_1, cautioned, "You don’t mock someone praying o. We should still respect God please."
  • Another, @mchorpe_broda_ope, humorously noted, "Hmmmm… if God decides to arrest VDM and make him an evangelist, e go pass Saul own for Bible o. coz he knows some biblical things."
  • User @stephyonyi_ simply wrote, "I like as God don capture her," showing support for Tonto Dikeh's conversion.
  • @truthbe423 added a biblical perspective to the plea, commenting, "Is the please Mummy for me let her withdraw the case because the Bible says we should forgive seventy times seven. And you only offended her 1 time."

This incident occurs amidst other legal threats against VDM. Legit.ng had previously reported that singer Terry Apala issued an ultimatum to the activist to take down a video alleging his arrest by the EFCC or face legal consequences.

As of now, Tonto Dikeh has not publicly responded to VDM's viral appeal for forgiveness and the withdrawal of their court case. The ball is now in the court of the 'born again' actress and businesswoman.
