The new development stems from an earlier allegation made by Silverdam in October 2025. At that time, he claimed that 2Baba had a heated argument with his wife, Edo State lawmaker Natasha Osawaru, shortly after arriving in the UK for a tour. Silverdam insisted the situation escalated, leading to the intervention of police officers who reportedly took the 'African Queen' crooner into custody.
In response, 2Baba had publicly dismissed the claims. He attributed his absence from a scheduled performance to a medical emergency, not an arrest. The singer was even seen in a video with Natasha and an associate in a studio setting, laughing off the rumours.

On Monday, December 1, 2025, Tosin Silverdam took to his Instagram page to present what he calls visual proof. He shared a clip captioned: "Video of Tuface Idibia Being Arrested by the Police in the UK After an Alleged Altercation with His Wife Natasha… and Video of Heated Argument at the Airport… The Video Is Finally Out."
The footage appears to show a moment of detention. In a separate clip, Silverdam claims to show the initial altercation between 2Baba and Natasha at Gatwick Airport. He suggested the dispute began because Natasha Osawaru was reportedly jealous of the attention her husband was receiving from fans.
