Williams Uchemba Speaks Out on Alexx Ekubo's Marriage
The film industry has been in mourning since Alexx Ekubo passed away on Tuesday at Evercare Hospital after a battle with advanced metastatic kidney cancer. His death has left colleagues and fans deeply saddened, while speculations about his private life continue to circulate on social media.
In the interview, Williams Uchemba, a close friend of the late actor, explained that Ekubo had wanted his marital life kept out of the public eye. Uchemba emphasized that it was not his place to share details and that the family should be the ones to disclose any information if they choose.
"I don't think it's in my place to say, because Alex didn't want it out there. I think if anything would come out of that, it would come out from his family. I think he wanted it that way," Uchemba stated.
He added, "People have their decisions. They say, 'Okay, if I'm ever going to do this, I don't even want it in public. I don't even want it out there.' So I think I would respect his will and the fact that he wanted it that way."
Interviewer Presses for Details on Children
The interviewer continued to press Uchemba about whether Ekubo had children, but the actor maintained his stance, reiterating that such information should come from the family. He urged the public to accept what has already been shared by Ekubo's relatives as the truth.
"Let us take what came out from the family," Uchemba said firmly.
With tributes still pouring in, Uchemba's words highlight the late actor's desire for privacy, leaving the responsibility of any further revelations in the hands of his immediate family.
