Mr. Justin Campbell, Head of Operations at Loveworld Arts Academy, announced that the tournament will take place at Car Park C field, RCCG Camp, Mowe, along the Lagos-Ibadan expressway in Ogun State, in collaboration with the Obafemi Owode Zonal CDC.

Youth Development Focus
Campbell emphasized the importance of youth inclusion, stating that the United Nations reports that young people aged 15 to 24 represent about 18 percent of the global population, or nearly 1.2 billion individuals. He noted that many youths are marginalized from social and economic opportunities, with limited access to essential resources. Eighty-seven percent of the youth population lives in developing countries, and nearly 45 percent of all youth globally live on less than $2 a day.
“Youths are among the most vulnerable groups the Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) aim to reach. Issues like poverty, hunger, lack of education, maternal mortality, unemployment, environmental degradation, and HIV/AIDS disproportionately affect young people due to their limited access to information, schooling, social influence, and basic rights. They are often overlooked in national development agendas,” Campbell said.
He stressed that young people's participation in initiatives like the football and dance tournaments is crucial for achieving a successful and sustainable MDGs outcome and accelerating Nigeria's development. The Loveworld Arts Academy, as the main organizer, has called for the event to be held quarterly to continuously promote youth development.
