Award-winning Nigerian music icon, Innocent Idibia, popularly known as 2Baba or 2Face, has publicly addressed the long-standing rift with his former bandmate, Blackface, making it clear that the third member of the legendary Plantashun Boiz, Faze, is not a party to their dispute.

The revelation came during 2Baba's performance at the Made in Benue Festival in Makurdi on December 29, 2025. Addressing the crowd, the 'African Queen' crooner explained the situation while sharing the stage with Faze. He stated that despite the unresolved personal issues between him and Blackface, Faze has maintained a neutral and cordial relationship with both parties.
"You all know that Plantashun Boiz consisted of Blackface, 2Face and Faze. But due to some unforeseen circumstances, Blackface is not with us right now," 2Baba told the audience. He went further to emphatically separate Faze from the conflict: "However, no matter the beef wey me and Blackface get, nothing concerns Faze inside. So, Faze is right here with me, and we will represent Plantashun Boiz."

The feud between 2Baba and Blackface, whose real name is Ahmedu Augustine Obiabo, has been a prominent subplot in Nigeria's entertainment scene for years.
