Nigerian Afropop star Chike-Ezekpeazu Osebuka, known professionally as Chike, has sparked reactions online following recent rumors linking him to the separation of media personality Frank Edoho and his second wife, Sandra Onyenucheya. Social media blogs over the weekend accused the singer of being involved in the marital crisis, prompting a flurry of discussions among netizens.
Sandra Onyenucheya Speaks Out
In response to the rumors, Sandra Onyenucheya took to her Instagram story to address the collapse of her marriage. She opened up about years of alleged abuse and irresponsibility on Frank Edoho's part. According to her, she "survived" Edoho in the marriage, describing him as a narcissist and a deadbeat father who often portrayed himself as the victim. She also alleged that while she was pregnant with their first child, Edoho was in a relationship with actress Mbong Amata. Furthermore, she claimed that during her pregnancy with their second child, Edoho asked her to terminate the pregnancy because he was involved in other relationships and did not want another child at the time. Despite his behavior, she said she remained faithful and committed, enduring emotional abuse throughout the marriage.
Chike's Cryptic Posts
Amid Sandra's explosive confession, Chike shared a video on his Instagram story channel of himself checking out a stylish pink suit. He also posted a video of himself and his team boarding a flight with the caption: "Game Time." These posts were seen by many as a bold declaration, seemingly unbothered by the swirling rumors.
Frank Edoho's Response
Frank Edoho later addressed the situation, telling fans that he and Sandra have been separated for almost two years. In an Instagram post, he wrote: "Over the past few days, I’ve received an outpouring of kind messages, prayers, concern, and goodwill regarding my separation and ongoing divorce proceedings. I truly appreciate the empathy. While I understand that the public is only just becoming aware of this chapter, I have lived through it privately for quite some time now (almost 2 years) and have since made peace with it emotionally." He added that life unfolds in different seasons, and sometimes moving forward quietly is the most dignified path. He concluded: "I am well. Focused. At peace, and deeply grateful for the love, respect, and support so many of you continue to show me. Thank you kindly."
