The Deeper Life Bible Church has officially announced the Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK), scheduled to take place in Abuja from June 24 to June 29, 2026. Organizers describe the six-day event as a pivotal moment for spiritual transformation and national impact.
Church Leaders Share Vision for Crusade
Pastor Edison Daminabo, the Federal Capital Territory State Overseer of the church, made the announcement on behalf of Pastor William Kumuyi during a media briefing in Abuja on Tuesday, June 17. He emphasized that the crusade, which began in Nigeria in 2021 and later expanded to other parts of Africa and the world, focuses on spreading messages of salvation, healing, and hope.
Expected Attendance and Activities
The church anticipates approximately 200,000 participants for the Abuja edition. Activities will be held at various venues, including a main program at a stadium. Daminabo noted that the event targets individuals from diverse backgrounds, including youths, families, and communities.
According to Daminabo, the crusade aims not only at individual spiritual renewal but also at addressing broader societal challenges. He expressed confidence that the program would bring positive change to Nigeria.
Addressing Insecurity and Banditry
Speaking specifically about the issues of insecurity and banditry in Nigeria, Daminabo stated, “Fire is coming, fire burns, burns insecurity, burn government, burn everything negative. That’s why it’s coming.” He added that the church believes the crusade will usher in a new phase of hope and transformation for the nation and beyond.
When asked about safety during the event, Daminabo said the church trusts in God’s protection while acknowledging the importance of security measures. He also encouraged journalists to help disseminate information about the crusade, describing the media as a vital platform for reaching the public.
Background on GCK and Pastor Kumuyi
The GCK program is part of Pastor Kumuyi’s global outreach initiative, which has been held in various countries. In related news, Legit.ng earlier reported that Pastor Kumuyi modified a long-standing Deeper Life rule regarding marriage. He clarified that the law prohibiting a lady from visiting a man she intends to marry is not biblical but an administrative guideline, and has been nullified.
Pastor Edison Daminabo, a Reuters-certified journalist with over five years of professional experience, serves as the Politics and Current Affairs Editor at Legit.ng.
