The global Afrobeats movement is reaching a new fever pitch this season as two of Nigeria's distinctive musical exports prepare to take the vibrant sound and cultural spirit of Ibadan to the global stage. Kingsley Adeyemi Olakunle, known professionally as Keanzo, and rising sensation Olumide Ogundoju Oriola, known professionally as Wyza, are set to headline the highly anticipated Afrobeat Spring Tour 2026, which kicks off across the United Kingdom.
Tour Dates and Vision
Scheduled to run from May 30 to June 20, the tour is designed to celebrate African identity, culture, and global influence through music and performance. It is expected to deliver a fusion of live music, African rhythms, and energetic performances aimed at showcasing the evolving influence of Afrobeats beyond the continent. Organised by November Plus Promotions in collaboration with MaraStanley Promotions, TPiano Studios, and Edens Gate, the initiative is being positioned as more than just a concert series.
"This is a celebration of African identity and global influence. We are bringing the original African energy vibe to fans everywhere," a spokesperson for November Plus Promotions told The Guardian.
Keanzo: The Cultural Powerhouse
Known for his electrifying stagecraft and percussion-driven performances, Keanzo is a cultural powerhouse and self-proclaimed 'Africa Abami'. He brings more than a decade of musical experience and stage mastery to the tour. Popularly regarded as one of Ibadan's most dynamic cultural exports, the singer has built a reputation for blending traditional Yoruba drumming with contemporary Afro-fusion sounds.
The music act, who began playing percussion instruments at the age of five, first gained major recognition after winning the "Best Rapper" title at the inaugural Glo Rock & Rule competition. Over the years, he has developed a distinctive sound he describes as "Kulture", a rich fusion of African heritage and modern musical expression.
"My music is essentially an extension of the drum. It's the heartbeat of my Yoruba roots, but refined for a global ear. When I step on stage, I'm not just singing; I'm inviting the audience into a tradition that has survived for centuries," Keanzo said.
Wyza: The Street-Inspired Sensation
Wyza, whose street-inspired sound and motivational themes have earned him growing popularity among young music lovers, is also billed for the tour. His catchy hooks and infectious work ethic have carved him a niche with his "Wake Up & Grind" philosophy, which reflects the resilience and ambition of everyday Nigerian youth.
Known for his ability to blend Lagos street-pop with polished global production, Wyza is expected to bring the heat to the UK club scene, bridging the gap between underground vibes and mainstream appeal.
"Afrobeats is the sound of the hustle. Every hook I write is dedicated to the people waking up at 5:00 AM to chase their dreams," he shared. "My goal on this tour is to show the UK that our sound isn't just about partying; it's about the energy and the resilience of the Nigerian spirit."
