Nigerian music star Kizz Daniel finds himself at the center of another controversy after allegedly disappointing fans during his Europe tour stop in France over the weekend.
Chaos Erupts at Paris Concert Venue
The incident occurred in Paris where the singer, whose real name is Oluwatobiloba Daniel Anidugbe, was scheduled to perform. According to reports, the show was set to begin at 7 p.m. and conclude by 11 p.m., with organizers being informed that the venue would close by midnight.
However, concert attendees were left frustrated when Kizz Daniel allegedly did not arrive until 11:50 p.m. - nearly an hour after the scheduled end time of the performance. This late arrival left little to no time for the artist to perform for his waiting fans.
Violent Altercation and Fan Protests
A video that has since gone viral on social media shows one of Kizz Daniel's security personnel engaged in a serious physical confrontation with a man reportedly part of the event's organizing team. The clip captures the bouncer shouting aggressively while both men appear to be struggling over an object.
In separate footage, disappointed concertgoers can be seen holding up their tickets and voicing their frustrations loudly. The situation escalated to the point where police officers were called to intervene as fans grew increasingly agitated about the singer's absence.
History of Similar Incidents
This is not the first time the Buga crooner has faced backlash for failing to appear at scheduled performances. A few years ago, he was arrested in Tanzania after not showing up for a concert there. Reports from that incident indicated that his failure to perform was partly due to his gold chain not being delivered before the show.
Fans have taken to social media to express their disappointment, with many noting this appears to be a recurring pattern with the artist.
Social Media Reactions
Nigerian music enthusiasts have been vocal about their thoughts on the Paris incident:
One user @peju_0 commented: "Kizz Daniel again I actually love his songs but I don't think I will ever go his shows because he's fond of not showing up, pride wan ruin am."
Another fan @Redddi compared him to Davido, saying: "How would he cope if he was 001 that can perform in 4 countries within 6 days and he always arrives on time."
User @ordormj added: "Fans of 001 can't relate. Davido, our reliable performer."
While @nendeunice noted: "He likes doing this every time. He shouldn't allow people waste their time, energy and money if won't show up... that's so low."
The incident comes as Kizz Daniel continues his European tour, having recently experienced personal tragedy with the loss of his mother-in-law last year.
