Maria De La Rosa, who performed under the stage name DELAROSA, was identified as one of three victims in the fatal shooting that occurred on Saturday, November 22. According to the Los Angeles Police Department press release, the incident took place at approximately 1:25 a.m. local time near Bryant Street east of Tampa Avenue in Northridge.
Police received multiple reports of gunfire in the area, with witnesses describing a horrifying scene where two male suspects approached a vehicle parked on Bryant Street before firing multiple rounds into the car. The attack appeared to be a calculated ambush, leaving the young singer with fatal gunshot wounds.

One particularly touching tribute came from Devin Christiansen, who shared how he met De La Rosa at a gym approximately nine to ten years ago when he "had absolutely nothing." He recalled how the singer saw his potential and helped him find an agency to jumpstart his career.
"I couldn't be thankful enough to have met her at a time when I was at my lowest," Christiansen wrote in a message reshared by Deyanira De La Rosa, who appears to be a relative of the deceased, through the late singer's Instagram Stories.
He expressed his shock upon realizing that the shooting victim he had heard about was actually Maria, saying "Come to find out by one of my partners that it was Deyaniras daughter Maria." His heartfelt message concluded with a call for prayers for the family during this difficult time.
