Omah Lay Headlines Inaugural Motherland Festival Dec 20

Nigerian music star Omah Lay is set to take center stage at the first-ever Motherland Festival, scheduled for December 20, 2025. This performance will be his only appearance in Lagos during the entire festive period, offering fans a unique opportunity to see the acclaimed artist live.

A Landmark Year Culminates in Lagos Show

The announcement arrives after a monumental year for Omah Lay. The singer recently celebrated his first Grammy nomination for the hit track "With You," a collaboration with fellow superstar Davido. Adding to this achievement, the song was confirmed as Nigeria's most streamed track on Spotify for the year, solidifying his position at the forefront of the Afro-fusion and Afrobeats movement.

Motherland Festival: A Three-Day Cultural Experience

The Motherland Festival is not just a concert but a comprehensive cultural gathering. It is scheduled to run from December 18 to 20, 2025, at the Motherland Grounds, located beside the Oriental Hotel on Victoria Island, Lagos. The event is proudly sponsored by First Bank.

Organizers describe the festival as a transformative expo designed to celebrate Nigerian excellence and reconnect the global diaspora with their roots. Its mission is to create a convergence point for culture, business, innovation, and heritage, fostering growth and collaboration.

Star-Studded Lineup for the Inaugural Edition

Omah Lay will not be alone on the stage. He joins a powerful lineup of Nigerian talents curated for the festival's debut. Other confirmed artists include Seyi Vibez, The Cavemen, Odumodu Blvck, Qing Madi, Mavo, and DJ Obi, promising attendees a memorable experience.

In a joint statement, the festival's co-founders expressed their excitement: "We're excited that Omah Lay chose the Motherland stage as his only Lagos show this December. Fans from around the world will get their chance to celebrate the huge year he's had. Alongside the other incredible artists, he will be giving our attendees a show they'll never forget."

The festival aims to unite influential thinkers, global creatives, and cultural leaders for an immersive three-day experience in Nigeria's bustling commercial capital.
