Pastor Welcomes First Child After 13 Years

A Nigerian cleric, Pastor Cylars Omoloye, and his wife, Grace, have welcomed their first child after 13 years of waiting. Omoloye, the lead pastor of The LifeWord Church in Ibadan, shared an emotional testimony in a series of Facebook posts, describing the arrival of the child as proof of God's faithfulness.

Emotional Testimony

According to him, the 13 years of waiting were marked by prayers, tears, silence, and hope. “For 13 years, we carried prayers, tears, silence, and hope. We only anchored on God's word and the covenant of our union,” he wrote. He added that there were many days they smiled outside but cried before God in secret, moments they almost gave up, yet His promise kept them alive.

“People placed much demands on us as pastors fixing their needs, ministrations and counsels. Many may never understand the weight of waiting… until they have waited. Waiting required weight. But today, God remembered us. God helped us to pull through and here we are today. After 13 years, He placed a baby boy in our arms.”

From Pain to Praise

He concluded, “Our cry became a child. Our waiting became a testimony. Our pain became praise. Only God can do this. Jesus is faithful forever.” The couple's story has inspired many, highlighting the power of faith and perseverance through prolonged trials.
