Rick Ross Performs Drake Tracks on Tour, Rejects Reconciliation
Rick Ross Performs Drake Hits, Dismisses Reconciliation

Rapper Rick Ross may still be at odds with Drake, but that did not stop him from performing some of their biggest collaborations during the opening night of his new tour.

Tour Kickoff in Miami

Ross launched his 17-city “Port of Miami” anniversary tour at the James L. Knight Center in Miami, celebrating 20 years since the release of his debut album. Despite the ongoing feud between the two artists, Ross included several songs featuring Drake in his setlist, performing a number of their joint hits throughout the night.

No Changes to Setlist

Speaking after the concert, Ross dismissed suggestions that he should remove Drake’s contributions from their songs because of their public fallout. Asked whether he had considered cutting Drake’s verses from the records, Ross said he simply performs whatever songs the DJ selects and does not spend time editing or removing parts from them. The comments are consistent with remarks Ross previously made, insisting that their personal differences would not affect the music they created together.

Reconciliation Rejected

However, Ross appeared less enthusiastic when asked about the possibility of reconciling with the Toronto rapper. According to reports, he responded with laughter when questioned about ending the feud, suggesting that a reunion is not currently on the horizon.

Ross and Drake were once among hip-hop’s most successful collaborators, working together on a series of major records before their relationship deteriorated amid a wave of high-profile rap industry disputes. While Ross continues to perform the songs that helped define an era of their careers, his latest comments indicate that any musical appreciation does not necessarily signal a return to friendship between the two artists.
