A new and disturbing allegation has emerged in the ongoing controversy surrounding popular Nigerian cleric, Pastor Chris Okafor of Grace Nation Liberation City. This follows an audio recording shared online by social media activist, VeryDarkMan, featuring a young woman who claims to be the pastor's daughter.
Chilling Account of a "Frozen" Encounter
In the audio, the woman identified as Chidera Precious Okafor narrates a traumatic incident she says forced her to flee the pastor's household in 2020. She alleges that Pastor Okafor once called her into his room, locked the door, and began speaking about his desire to marry her.
"I was shocked. I couldn't understand what was happening," Chidera stated in the recording, describing the encounter as one that left her "frozen" in fear and confusion. This account surfaced shortly after Pastor Okafor publicly denied previous allegations and threatened VeryDarkMan with legal action.
Claims of Unequal Treatment and Distressing Origins
Chidera further claimed she was treated differently from other children in the pastor's home, a situation she says eventually escalated to the alarming room incident. She also made serious claims about the circumstances of her birth.
According to her, her mother was a choir member in Okafor's church and became pregnant under distressing circumstances, alleging an assault. Chidera states she was born out of wedlock as a result.
The Escape and Ongoing Denials
Precious said the 2020 incident was the final straw. She secretly contacted her mother, who was then serving as a National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member, for rescue. "My mum came to pick me up," she explained, detailing her subsequent departure from the cleric's house.
Pastor Chris Okafor has consistently and vehemently denied all allegations linking him to sexual misconduct, abuse, or abandonment. Through his legal representatives, he has labeled previous claims as malicious attacks aimed at tarnishing his reputation and ministry.
He has also accused VeryDarkMan of spreading unverified content and failing to seek his side of the story before publishing sensitive interviews. The cleric maintains his innocence amidst the growing social media storm.
