Peggy Ovire Denies All Allegations in N100M Legal Clash with Taiye Arimoro
Peggy Ovire Fires Back at Taiye Arimoro in Legal Battle

Nollywood actress Peggy Ovire has launched a fierce legal counterattack against her colleague Taiye Arimoro, completely rejecting his N100 million compensation demand and denying all allegations made against her.

The Legal Response Unveiled

In a fresh legal response issued through her legal team, Ovire described Arimoro's claims as "misleading, selective and materially false", accusing the actor of deliberately twisting the entire incident to suit his narrative. The legal documents reveal that the conflict began when Arimoro was asked to return to the film set but instead allegedly engaged in a heated confrontation that escalated dramatically.

According to the detailed response, the situation turned violent when Arimoro assaulted Production Manager Luke Obayi before allegedly head-butting Peggy Ovire's driver, Joshua Madu. The legal team emphasized that the attack left Madu bleeding from both ear and nose, with multiple witnesses present at the location providing statements to the police confirming Arimoro's aggressive behavior.

Counter-Allegations and Evidence

Peggy's legal representatives strongly refuted claims that she assaulted Arimoro, explaining that the only physical contact occurred when she "pushed him lightly" after he allegedly attempted to deflate her vehicle tyres. They characterized this as a defensive measure rather than an aggressive act.

The response also addressed Arimoro's social media activities, stating that his Instagram live session was a deliberate attempt to manipulate public perception. Her lawyers insisted that the CCTV footage he shared had been selectively edited to favor his version of events while omitting crucial context.

Furthermore, the legal team completely dismissed claims of mob action, broken jaw, harassment, or any form of violence against Arimoro as completely fabricated stories designed to generate public sympathy.

Ongoing Investigations and Future Actions

The matter is currently under investigation by both the Nigeria Police Force and the Actors Guild of Nigeria, with Peggy's legal team describing Arimoro's N100 million demand letter as "premature" and without merit. They emphasized that proper investigative channels were already engaged and should be allowed to complete their work.

In a significant development, Peggy Ovire's legal team not only rejected the compensation request but also indicated she might file her own petitions for assault, defamation, and interference with production. This suggests the legal battle could escalate significantly in the coming weeks.

Sealing her position, Peggy Ovire took to her Instagram to declare that her silence should not be mistaken for weakness. She reminded her followers and the public that investigations are ongoing and promised that the complete truth would eventually emerge.
