The Federal Government has issued a strong appeal to the media, urging them to hold public office holders accountable with a commitment to fairness, professionalism, and a profound sense of responsibility. This charge was delivered by the Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, during a media briefing held in Abuja. The event was organized ahead of the 75th anniversary celebrations of the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), highlighting the government's focus on enhancing democratic principles through responsible journalism.

Minister Idris stressed that balanced journalism is not merely an option but a critical necessity for deepening democracy and strengthening public trust in governance.
