The Nigerian Bar Association (NBA) has deployed its National Election Observers Team to Osun State ahead of Saturday's governorship election, as the association prepares to monitor the electoral process and promote adherence to the rule of law during the exercise.

The team, led by Festus Okoye, Chairman of the NBA Election Working Group, arrived in Osun State on Friday to monitor the conduct of Saturday's governorship election. The association said in a statement that the deployment “underscores the association’s commitment to promoting credible elections, respect for the rule of law and compliance with established electoral processes.”
NBA’s communication officer, Stella Charles, said in a statement shared with PREMIUM TIMES that the NBA delegation had a stop-over in Akure, Ondo State, on their way to Osun State. They were received by members of the Akure branch of the NBA led by its chairman, Onimisi Umar, alongside members of the branch’s executive committee.
