The South-South Governors Forum (SSGF) has extended warm congratulations to Delta State Governor, Elder Sheriff Oborevwori, on the occasion of his 63rd birthday anniversary.
Statement from the Forum Chairman
In a statement released on Saturday, the Chairman of the SSGF and Governor of Bayelsa State, Senator Douye Diri, expressed the forum's felicitations on behalf of all member states.
“Today, the SSGF joins the good people of Delta State and well-wishers to celebrate an outstanding leader and a dedicated public servant,” Diri said.
Recognizing a Journey of Service
The Bayelsa governor highlighted Oborevwori's remarkable political trajectory, noting his transition from the longest-serving Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly to the state's chief executive.
“Your Excellency, your transition from the longest-serving Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly to becoming Governor testifies to your unwavering commitment to the ideals of democracy and visionary leadership,” Diri added.
Under Oborevwori's leadership, the M.O.R.E Agenda has been instrumental in driving progress across multiple sectors.
“Through your M.O.R.E Agenda model, you continue to break new grounds in infrastructure development, security of lives and property, social welfare, and in ensuring that Delta becomes more prosperous and united,” the statement read.
A Source of Inspiration
The forum praised the governor's dedication to the peace and progress of both Delta State and the South-South region.
“Your dedication to the peace and progress of your state and our region remains a profound inspiration. The SSGF prays that Almighty God grants you sound health, divine wisdom, and abundant strength to steer Delta to even greater heights. Happy Birthday, Your Excellency!” the statement concluded.
