APC Leaders in Delta Rally Behind Tinubu's Reforms, Forecast Five Million Votes for 2027
As political activities intensify ahead of the 2027 general elections, key leaders of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Delta State have voiced robust confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu's administration and the party's electoral prospects. They project a significant vote haul, aiming to secure re-election for both the president and state officials.
Endorsement of Transformative Reforms
Rt. Hon. Victor Ochei, former Speaker of the Delta State House of Assembly, has strongly endorsed the Tinubu administration, asserting that it remains firmly on track to implement what he termed transformative reforms. Ochei emphasized that these reforms are poised to drive sustainable national development, addressing critical economic and social challenges. He praised the APC's internal cohesion, highlighting the consensus emergence of Nentawe Yilwatda as National Chairman as a clear indicator of unity and political maturity within the party ranks.
Bold Electoral Projections
In a striking political forecast, former House of Representatives member and APC chieftain, Solomon Ahwinahwi, declared that Delta State could deliver up to five million votes for the re-election of President Tinubu and Governor Sheriff Oborevwori. Speaking in Asaba, Ahwinahwi attributed this optimism to what he described as unprecedented cohesion across the South-South region. He noted that the APC has established robust political structures designed to dominate future electoral contests.
Ahwinahwi elaborated, stating, This is the first time the South-South is coming together as one, and he confidently labeled the projected vote tally as a done deal. He further claimed that the APC holds significant political influence in Delta State and maintains considerable sway over other parties, as the leadership continues to prioritize unity and strategic consolidation in preparation for the 2027 elections.
The statements from these APC leaders underscore a concerted effort to bolster support for Tinubu's policies and strengthen the party's foothold in Delta, setting the stage for a highly competitive electoral season.
