ADC Leader's Bold Claim: Corpse Would Defeat Tinubu in 2027

In a startling declaration, Buba Galadima, a prominent chieftain of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), has asserted that even a dead man could defeat President Bola Ahmed Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 elections. Galadima, a close ally of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso, made these remarks during the ADC's 8th National Convention held in Abuja, as reported by The Nigerian Tribune.

Criticism of Tinubu's Administration

Galadima did not mince words in his critique of the current government, labeling those in Tinubu's administration as 'mafioso'. He urged the ADC and other opposition parties to demonstrate resilience and courage in the face of what he described as attempts by the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to weaken political rivals.

"It is important that nobody in this country should set the pace on how our political behaviour should be. We must assert ourselves whether they like it or not," Galadima stated emphatically.

Allegations Against the APC

He further accused the APC of systematically trying to dismantle opposition parties, including the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Social Democratic Party (SDP), New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP), Labour Party, and the ADC itself. Galadima highlighted the need for steadfastness among opposition members to counter these perceived threats.

"But what I want to remind them of is that even if there is no living human being in Nigeria and we bring a corpse in a coffin and put it against President Tinubu, I assure you that that corpse will win the election in 2027," he proclaimed, underscoring his belief in widespread public dissatisfaction with the Tinubu-led government.

Call for Opposition Unity and Resilience

Galadima emphasized that only through boldness and courage can the opposition overcome what he termed the 'mafioso' elements in power. His comments come amid a broader political discourse as opposition voices intensify ahead of the 2027 polls, with figures like former Vice President Atiku Abubakar also criticizing Tinubu's administration for its perceived failures in governance and economic management.

Previously, Galadima has claimed that President Tinubu would lose a free and fair election in 2027, citing discontent among farmers and warning of an impending agricultural crisis due to current policies. These statements add to the growing narrative of political tension and opposition mobilization in Nigeria.
