The election proceeded remarkably peacefully with impressive voter participation across numerous polling units. Observers noted smooth accreditation processes and substantial turnout, including vulnerable groups such as pregnant women, elderly citizens, and persons with disabilities who queued patiently to exercise their franchise.
This election served as a critical test for INEC Chairman Professor Joash Amupitan, who oversaw operations that began and concluded without the violence that has marred previous Nigerian elections.
Security and Technological Success
