Nigerian prophet Babatunde Ephrata has issued a stark warning about the country's political future, stating that any attempt to force President Bola Tinubu out of office before the 2027 elections could lead to serious disaster for the nation.
Prophetic Warning Against Political Moves
During a live broadcast titled 'Prophetic Insight 2026', the founder of Bible Based Centre expressed strong concerns about political forces working against the current administration. Prophet Ephrata specifically cautioned that Nigeria faces a critical year ahead as opposition figures intensify their efforts to remove President Tinubu from Aso Rock Villa.
"Nigeria is coming up, but there are powers who are out to bring the country down," the cleric stated during his message. "They intend to do that by taking out Tinubu. If this president is forced out of office, Nigeria will face serious disaster."
Opposition Parties Gear Up for 2027
The prophetic warning comes amid significant political realignments in preparation for the next presidential election. The African Democratic Congress (ADC) has emerged as the primary opposition platform, having been officially adopted by various opposition figures during a July meeting in Abuja.
ADC national chairman David Mark emphasized the party's determination during the inaugural meeting of the party's national working committee, stating that failure is not an option for the party in the 2027 elections. The party aims not only to win power but to build a lasting legacy for future generations.
Key Political Figures Weigh In
Former Minister of Interior and ADC national secretary Rauf Aregbesola has predicted President Tinubu's defeat in the 2027 elections based on his political analysis. The former Osun state governor made this declaration in Ilorin, Kwara state, after commissioning the party's state secretariat.
"By the grace of God, the ADC will take over leadership in Nigeria and many states," Aregbesola stated confidently.
Meanwhile, media entrepreneur Dele Momodu has expressed a different perspective, suggesting that neither former President Goodluck Jonathan nor Peter Obi could defeat President Tinubu in the 2027 elections. Momodu acknowledged the concerning trend of Peoples Democratic Party chieftains defecting to the ruling All Progressives Congress.
Prophet Ephrata remains optimistic about President Tinubu's economic reforms, insisting that Nigeria is on the right path under his leadership and criticizing what he describes as powers determined to undermine the country's progress.
